Add NMEA 2000 compatibility to older heavy-duty diesel engines on boats. In other words, makes it possible to monitor engine data on fancy new display panels on boats with older heavy-duty diesel engines. Customers are often boat owners who are upgrading their instruments on the bridge with new NMEA 2000 displays (or "MFD"s).
